Norman’s broad and lengthy experience has allowed him to develop both an industry accepted, yet personally validated and adapted, framework to approach the type of project(s) that needs completed will help not only in the short-term of understanding, planning, and migration; as well as long-term in developing their own methodology and groups to maintain and evolve their in-house solutions moving beyond.
Norman has both software and business expertise to understand the complexities and options within a logistics environment. He will be able to decode, research, and make recommendations on sanely moving forward in the least risk and highest reward perspective.
One of the greatest attributes that Norman brought was his honest disclosure of the actual situation and options for next steps with his clients. I believe that his disarming personality and delivery of the message will be able to make what could be a difficult message to receive more receivable.

Norman is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a Certified Controls Specialist, and a Microsoft Office Specialist. He is a graduate of the University of Florida where he has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and studied Computer Information Sciences.
Norman has held leadership roles in 20+ ERP, 15+ EDI projects, and numerous barcode labeling projects through his career. Norman is an expert in data analysis and data migrations and conversions. He is an expert in the technologies and operations pertaining to supply chain vendor compliance, with experience beginning in 1993.
Prior to starting Katzscan in January 1996, Norman had progressive career positions (Programmer, Programmer Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Information Technology Manager) with some of the country's most well-known consumer product brands: Fotomat (film and photo processing), Tropicana Products (beverages), Hanes (apparel), and Gitano (fashion apparel), as well as lesser-known companies such as Huyck-Formex (industrial textiles and vacuum foils for the paper industry), FLA Orthopedics (medical products manufacturer and distributor), and Gepetto (women's apparel manufacturer).
Since its beginnings in January 1996, companies have engaged Katzscan to direct the business analysis, architecture, development, integration, quality assurance, risk identification, and evolution of: enterprise software roadmaps, business process improvements, software applications, data governance, supply chain relationships, and organizational readiness initiatives as an embedded strategic partner and consultant.
From project inception to completion, Katzscan can be relied upon to: define business processes; determine software requirements; assess the current state; envision the future state; analyze data; transform strategies into tactical realities; effectively communicate with all levels of organizational personnel.
A relationship champion, Norman Katz pulls together internal resources and external stakeholders (e.g. customers, software vendors, contract manufacturers, third-party distributors and 3PL logistics providers) to forge and strengthen supply chain relationships. Supply chain chargeback - financial penalty - detection and reduction is a specialty, and this is achieved through relationship building and technical and operational analysis.
Katzscan will perform data analysis, operations investigations, and systems overviews as part of “rapid-response” discoveries to determine root-causes of problems, then define and present short-term fixes and long-term solutions. Norman Katz fully understands that when customer relationships are at risk, when supplier or vendor partnerships are struggling, when sales revenue is decreasing, or when operational costs are increasing, Katzscan's clients need Norman's years of experience and combined operations and technology expertise to act as expeditiously as possible in solving their most pressing problems.
